Jerusalem is a city where the political powder keg always steals the attention. The city’s independent art scene is pushed into the thin gap between a religious apocalypse and capitalist real-estate atrocities. Far away from the spotlight - in bars, shelters, bedrooms and abandoned buildings - the small yet persistent artist community of downtown Jerusalem creates a soundtrack that is essentially a cure for a crooked reality. This album collects the musical expression of this community - the fifth quarter of Jerusalem.
